I had them on the DRZ S wheels and really liked them. I was convinced of them after riding a bit with Toronto Tom who led me and cheese on a "hey follow the arrow!" on his GPS when in New Hampshire. He threw his big R100GS around in grass, sand and even mud on those things. I did a ride down to West Virginia that included everything from the Turnpike to south Jersey sand, and they were excellent. Long wearing, too.

Anyone going to the Motorcycle Swap meet this weekend in Smithfield, RI? See Craigs List /RI/ Motorcycles. Is it indoors?

I ran 270's for 2 years or so on my CRF-230. Great 50/50 tire, it will so anything you need for a dual port bike. Did a lot of trail riding (read NETRA HS loops) and the only place they didn't shine was deep/greasy mud. The tire would tend to pack up and act like a slick until you got it spinning enough on drier ground to fling the mud out.

I wish I had a box full of product to bring up there. Sounds like a fun day even if you don't need to buy anything. :D

Doing great, thanks. It'll be at least a month before I try anything like that, and then I'll ease into it. I have a lot of garage work to keep me busy while I heal up. I really want to get into that CR500. If I could get that going, that'd be great.

Hope you both can make it, and anyone else considering it

I am hoping it warms up a bit more that the predicted 41,
    seems like it usually does..

    but I will be there...
