Ponaganset road is probably the best of the several dirt roads in that area.

Yes, I tried Woody Hill and its all gated. All I have is Tomaquag Valley Rd and I'm not sure how much of the road along East Beach. I have been meaning for a while to explore farther east for a better start point. The Indians don't allow any access either. My route heads north from Hopkinton on North Rd but there are other options.

There are a lot of good twisty back roads in that area, and the paving is so bad on many of them it will be *like* riding in the dirt...

Thats a high performance Pirelli racing slick! My motoz tractionator is in the garage waiting for me to swap it on. I also picked up two sweet tire irons and extra tubes to carry in the back pack. I wouldn't want to blow a front tire and have to be rescued out of the woods........:D

Should I be worried? Small pool of oil behind my air filter on the 310.

First time cleaning and re oiling, found this.

If the engine crankcase vent is routed back to the rubber manifold where you see that oil, then yes.

Iirc, most pcv systems route the ventilation downstream of the air filter, so a little bit of oil on that side of the intake is normal.

this time of year, noon is when you should be finishing up IMO. I may be able to do a weekday next week Wed - Fri, if I decide not to do the VT ride that Sunday following.
