LOL, yeah I'm a glutton for punishment!
Looks like a hell of alot of fun Dan. Have fun, be safe.
Riding forest roads tomorrow (Sunday). Starting around Nimblewell Church around 8:30. No big plans...just burning the last few miles of this rear tire and getting my church time in!
Hoping to stay mostly on forest roads and heading back to the Atlanta burbs around 1...
Anybody want to join shoot me a pm or show up. I am on a white F800GS. Will check back here tonight and before I leave the house around 7:30.
Or, we could meet at Bojangles in D'ville for a biscuit at 8ish?
My wife and I were out there a bit today on my WR250R and her CRF250L. We rode up Nimblewell, to Winding Stair and then over 42 to Suches. Saw Jud at the Wolf Pen Gap Store.
We'll be out there again tomorrow sometime, but not sure where. Wave if you see us on the WRR & CRF. She's got a white DS helmet and I have a black one and both of us are in Klim gear.
Nice seeing y'all again. After Dales, we hit Double Gap Rd and ended up on Old Bucktown,,,,,,,,, pretty fun on the DLs!
Out kicking around doing some shopping with the wife yesterday and in a place called "The Sundry Store" just north of downtown Etowah TN on US411 on the right if going north I found some gear by surprise.
They had a couple of racks of gloves (Alpinestar, Vanson, Firstgear), Joe Rocket heavy duty leather jackets, and around 30-40 helmens (Bell, Shoei, Arai, HJC) at what seemed like pretty good prices.
The gloves are to the right as you enter, and also on an isle near the cash registers. Helmets and jackets are hanging further toward the back of the store.
Mitch, I thought you'd curbed that glove fetish.
I found the bike I need, or want really bad.
So the capital campaign begins.
I'm gonna let go of my plated WR426 if anyone's interested. It's a great bike.
Had a good solo ride this morning thru Gainesville, Dawsonville, Dahlonega and places thereabouts. Saw several BMW's with ADV stickers I was the Green 08 KLR with yellow ADV on front and back. Need to find some time to catch up with you real riders one weekend. But not till I get my new tires mounted.
We spent the day chasing three DT 50's all over East Tennessee dirt roads.
There all former racers and can ride really well. I still thought I'd be poking along all day. Boy was I wrong! Just proves how much power is unused in the big bikes. Those guys had a big smile all day. My excuse is that I was two up on a 250 four poke and the roads had marbles all over. Yeah, that's it.
Little over 100 miles and mostly riding on marbles. Had a blast.
Charlies Creek Rd. is in prime condition.....
Looks like Clay got a new toy!
We haven't been through there since gates opened up. We hit Corbin twice last week.
Everyone was in the mountains this weekend.....big bikes.....
....some Fiddy Racing......
The Poultry Rancher got out for a 210 mile loop
Yep, sold the Scrambler and FJR. Got a dual-sporter the whole family can go in.....
Need a Harley sticker to make it Coates friendly though.....
Cuhutta's, Tellico, Dirtahala, Skyway back to Tellico. River beside River Rd was flowing good. Pizza at the bakery in Tellico. Couple of Tenere's doing dirt and pavement, all in all a great day.
Nice BD- 'bout time
So Andrew, you got someone that can run the shop for you Sat April 27th.
Looks like we are getting quite the turnout for my Dual Sport ride and with Flux, Crane, & Speedy all in on their 950's, you'll fit right in!
- S. GA Overnight Dual Sport Trip (April 27th-28th)
...and here I said you would never ride again .
Gang, I'm looking for a cheap ($1,200ish), street-legal commuter for my son. Anyone have a fugly bike that runs? Or a motor that could be fitted to a DR200 carcass?
I have a Kymco Agilty 125 scooter that I have been thinking of selling. It will do about 60 mph... In a tuck. A grand and it is yours.
