Yeah, I forgot to answer your question. I had a fleet CRFs (50, 70, 150, 250) for my first round of (now grown-ish) kids and they never gave me any trouble at all. Just don't put ethanol in them :deal

    Hi folks!
When Garth and I returned from our TET ride we noticed he was missing his front fender tool kit bag. At some point in the ride he used it to tighten up his shift lever and must not have strapped it down tight enough. If you find it please let me know so I have an excuse to revisit your beautiful state!:D

    Thanks!
We had a 12 hour ride home with the bikes in an open trailer. It may have fallen off there but who knows. It can be seen here on the front fender of the bright green KLX:

You are welcome to come check out mine before you pull the trigger. I'll be keeping it for another year or so--when your grandson learns to ride a bicycle, bring him here for a test-ride.

Does anyone have a PM group list they send out when a Georgia DS Ride is announced?

If so, put me on the list - I only have ~840 miles on my machine but I am anxious to get lots more.

    Thanks

I know not everyone is FB fans, but a private group page setup could do that pretty easily.

I actually setup a page called "Dan's Shorcuts" that I have a few local friends on, but we haven't done much with it.

Post up what part of Georgia you live in and that will help others know what rides are close.

Actually ordered him a push bike yesterday and as soon as it looks like he is holding his own on it, I'll probably still end up with a PW50 simply because of the low initial cost and ease of resale. If it were easier to find used {400-600$ range} then I just might be swayed. It is cool that the electric bike could easily be ridden where a bicycle could but I live in a spot that has plenty of room for a kid on a PW.

But out of curiousity, what's the run time on the smaller one and how long does it take to reharge? Also, what's the batty replacement cost? Like I said, you really have me curious on these things.:ear

Run time depends on where the parental control "governor" is set: 2-6 hours. Recharge 3-4 hours in a pinch, but overnight recommended.

Stock batteries are $50ish x 2, but they have poor clip-type connections that are a weakness. So when my stock batteries wore out, I replaced them with standard 12v deep cycle batteries a buddy had lying around.

I saw a PW50 on ATL Craigslist about an hour ago. Sorry, didn't look to see the price or if there were any pics.
