coates....shall i write you in for bacon?
Do you have more accurate info on where it is so we can give directions? What is this about a $200 ticket? You have me confused on this part. Sounds like a possibility for sure. I have a site in mind too, but trying to pin down the road it is on before I post it up.
This is what we have for sure so far: Plan to camp somewhere near Warwoman this coming weekend, Sat the 13th through that monday.
More to come as the details get hatched out.
FLUX... are talking about the camp site by the ford? i think that raod was called sandy ford rd. or are you talking about the camp site directly off the fs road....the one you had to cross the creek to get to. wasnt that off chruch well st???
Lucky - Flux Pm'd me about the camp site - he is trying to find the one that we had to ride up the creek to get to. I can't remember it's location, can you
I was talking about the one right off the FS road, where we had to cross the creek to get to. Do you have your GPS route from that day? Where are you getting Church Well St?
I remember how to get there, just don't recall the name of the main FS road. If anyone can help me get a name...it is the road on the left directly after Chechero Church if coming Hwy 76 East from Clayton. The road I am talking about crosses Lick Log Creek, and the campsite is right around FS 9. Thanks.
yes i have my gps route. that camp site was right off of the first fs road, straight through. ill have to check my gps for the name of the road.
I got it. It is called "Pool Creek Road". I will post directions later today when I get some more time. It is definitely called "Pool Creek Road." Check out this website. http://mycountymaps.com/ga/ Click on "Rabun County" and follow 76 East out of Clayton. You will see Chechero Church, followed by Pool Creek Road. You will see that at first it is pavement then it turns to dirt.
As long as we're not camping at lick log creek
It would be kind of disturbing to camp at your mom's house, I agree.
BTW- email has been sent to DOGgies.
I've just printed 10 copies of a very detailed map of the area we are going to ride this weekend. It is 9 pages long each one has numbers in the corners so you can work out the flow of the pages. I'll have them at the camp site - Flux worked out the camp site location and will post a thread soon - I hope
Great..... one more thing to waste time on the internet with....
shit... here comes the boss!
are we back in this thread again???:huh :huh
if we are back lucky and dags are ya riding this weekend?
D.O.G.s, really been enjoying your posts here and in Dixiedualsport. I will be in Augusta for about 4 months for training with little to do but ride on the weekends. I am gonna take both bikes. What are your suggestions for riding areas? Flux, I will look for you at the Devil's Creek ride. Thanks
Ya...let's make this the 'permanent' thread, and when we have specific rides with dates attached we will make that a thread by itself. PM sent to ya, mate.
Thanks for the compliment. Augusta is not really that close to here...couple hour drive if I am not mistaken. I do not know any riding that way, although I am sure someone will. You may want to get ahold of 'Gabe' who also posts at Dixie who might can tell you some closeby riding.
You are always welcome to crash here overnight if ya make a weekend trip.
Do you go by the same screename on Dixie? I will only be riding Devils Creek on Sunday, and am planning on camping at Jack Daniels camp the rest of the weekend. See ya there!
im down for a sunday ride.
