On Mischa, I can't see riders past position 61. Yesterday the whole field, once I deleted the country selections. Can't find a 'page 2'.

    Anyone got a workaround?

No they dont, this would be considered a safety risk by FIM.

So a rotopax type of carrier would be thought of in the same way, I'd guess? :dunno

And I think we haven't seen what speed Cyril can keep yet. Not that I particularly root for this guy, but he is a good navigator with a lot of speed.

Regarding the US Gordon I think will be very fast at the last half of the stage today. If not he gets stuck in a dune somewhere.

This Dakar is probably the most exciting I've seen for years. Though I still think they should make an open class for whatever bike people would run with.

Well he has to I guess. Imagine if he did not. That would mean he is not an alien. But with that growing lead I think he is buying some space for himself tomorrow.

You probably read I have been working on some new toy. It isn't finished yet, but I love it myself already, so I wanted to share it with you. Don't shoot me if things don't work yet.

What is it? A combined overview of all stats I have: waypoints, checkpoints, stage results. I got tired of clicking around over the different pages, sometimes even finding out different results on different pages. I tried to combine all the good stuff together into 1 page.

Filters or stage selectors are still missing, but for now this must be great:

    http://monitor.trackingdakar.nl/

or if that doesn't work yet

    http://trackingdakar.nl/monitor.php

I think you will understand what you are going to see. A few remarks:

Please consider this as beta stuff. Always keep an eye on the official results or other sources. Positions are calculated, so they can differ from the official site. It's just to get an idea how everybody is doing and maybe, maybe ;-) it can produce better data than the official.

Waypoints and checkpoints are hidden as long as nobody passed them. This is a technical issue at this moment. On the other side it's hard to determine which CP/WP comes first. This should do well enough and you all know what to expect anyway :-)

Have fun and.... don't kill my server. The page hasn't been optimzed yet :-) So, take care with F5!

Found a sort of fix: If I select 'order by overall positions', then I can see the whole field, but that's the only setting that'll work.

New monitor is cool, but has the same top 61 riders only.

Gonna push more buttons, see if I can make it work mo bettah.

At least as far as the TV footage is concerned, I'd say in Peru ASO have found their Epic Dune vistas they've been looking for since the race left Africa.

Not sure really, they did mention it in the course notes. I guess it was not too steep for the riders, or some french translation mixup, At the beginning of the stage there was quite a big uphill, I guess it just wasnt as steep as I thought it might be.
