    From Verhoeven's webpage

"I've had my guardian angel with me." That was the judgment of Frans Verhoeven after the third stage of the Dakar Rally, a 243 km long trial by the sand between Pisco and Nazca in Peru. Verhoeven made at kilometer 155 in the stage a huge hit with his motorcycle. Man and machine are only slightly damaged.
    *
"It's been years since I've fallen so hard," said Verhoeven, that morning with a blue right buttock muscle aches and wake up. "It was a bad piece, with black sand and lava rocks. I drove over there pretty hard, especially 130. At one time I landed in the bottom of my Yamaha on an edge. I felt that it was not going well and could see my ball back, so I would roll. I am left lateral tripped and landed on my right buttock. My lower back and buttocks do a little. That buttock will be blue tomorrow and I will have muscle pain, but that I am so happy. I'm very lucky that between stones. My protective clothing has hit very well taken care of. The Leatt brace around my neck to protect even damaged. It's so good that that thing was there. "
    *
The Yamaha Verhoeven was also good. The roadbook holder was crooked, so Verhoeven notes by hand to operate. "But otherwise everything went still."
    *
Verhoeven had worked hard in the stage and took risks for a good time to put down. "I had some well after the 21th place on Sunday. That did it. And my confidence in the material is so great that I seriously hard dared to drive and dare to take risks. That I fall, is purely my own fault. "
    *
After 243 km test Verhoeven finished eighth. That gives him the seventh place in the standings. The fourth stage, from Nazca to Arequipa, is over 700 km long, with a special stage of 290 kilometers.

I've been watching him down in the standings, and wondering what happened since the days that he was mixing it up with the 690's whilst on a 450. :dunno

That coverage is mind blowing, even with only about 20% comprehension of the dialogue.

    Seguiremos informando.

    GRACIAS
    19: 20 hours in Spain - 13: 00 hours in Peru.

As we mentioned previously, Iganacio and his Bultaco took out of the third stage PISCO-NASCA, after finishing the second stage within the regulatory time, but difficulties when it comes to redo the motorbike which suffered much and replacement of engine and lack of fuel have been made that the Organization made the decision to give by null output.

Ignacio is located well, frustrated by not being able to meet the project, this has made him think on how to deal with DAKAR 2.014.

Now llagar to NAZCA to do homework and continue working for the sponsors who owes a million thanks.

    We will keep you informed.
