    Whew! :knary

Clif Notes caught up, MOST of the F5irehose between meetings, no lunch catchup available, and viewed both France 4 and Eurosport Highlights torrents over dinner, awesome footage! Wife rolls her eyes, but after years of this madness, has mostly come to accept it :huh Brushing up on my French in the France 4 broadcasts.

I'm barely staying ahead of the F5sweeper truck. :muutt

Tomorrows pics and vids should be epic! "they will quail" over the steep dunes! :eek1

Morning. Trying to hang in here in the States hoping Don Hatton can make it to the finish. Mainly hoping he is OK. Can't quite imagine being run over by a truck in the dark. :eek1

    Go Don!

coasting down the bigass dunes will save a lot of fuel.

If the HRC riders push their bikes up hill today they'll not run out of gas before CP1 i bet....

I'm still trying to catch up from yesterday, I have no phone coverage at my work site and I had to go out all night last night...

So can I cut and run or do I have to go back and read the past two days posts? :D

Oh.... poor little Carlos has a (WRC) prima donna moment... and (vaguely) threatens to pack up his cape and go home, like a grumpy little matador... :cry

Standard sainz tactic, threaten to exit stage left dramatically to get officialdom to tippy toe... did it in WRC, did it at VW...

THIS is where the snowball turns into an avalanche... :eek1:nod

Even if you make it to the bivvy (and it sounds like a war story Don is going through) AND you make all the regulatory times and cut offs as neil and Scott rightly refer to... even THEN he has to start (one tough helluva) DAY FOUR extremely late, with a less than optimal bike in a state of dissrepair (much less limited service) a sore body and next to zero sleep/rest.

Day four is a hard ask in any case... with this as a starting point...? :huh

But as Bluebull wrote... miracles do happen (he still rode the thing in? :huh wow! :clap).

This is where the mystic powers of the global f5orce that is the F% slow clap have done wonders in the past... so if you're feeling at all rythmic this mornin'... :deal
