Maybe Heyduke or RhodeHazard can get you some art?
Hit stage hours on Mischa's site, you will see when they physically cross the wps, Pain, Casteau and Barreda are together now in that order.
JC trying to pick up the pace today thru WP1 in 31st +3.53
What's wrong with Helder, dropping a minute both WP's :eek1
Thanks. That kind of math so frightening to me after 2,3 riders that I wasn't even sure about that button at Mischa's.
that's just so he can make it back.....
With a time of 49'25", France's David Casteu still leads the provisional standings on the special stage at the half-way point. He leads his countryman Olivier Pain by 1'34", Helder Rodrigues by 2'14", Ruben Faria by 3'45", Gérard Farres Guell by 3'47" and Joan Barreda Bort by 6'13". Only these six competitors have so far completed 67 km of the stage.
Jpegs are fine. PDF's probably, also..
Think the mug's run about $15.
For those playing at home, Olivier Pain is now opening the track after Barreda's walkabout.
Mischa is going to work us out of a job.
Barreda's stage position moves farther and farther down as each new rider clocks in at WP2
I don't think that was a good tactical plan.
CDP is kinda missing, tactical move or the end of the Alien?
I have absolutely no idea what the guys on Radio Maray are on about, but its brilliant, are you sure its not a football game. gooooooaaaaaaalllll
It doesn't work that way with staged starts, though. Casteu started 4' behind Barreda, so even if/when he catches back up, he'll still be losing time on the day.
If navigating the piste opening was slowing him down (which is inevitably was), that's fine, just slip time until the others arrive. But there's no sense at all in intentionally going astray.
If he want's to graduate to Alien, he'll have to be able to win from the front as Coma and Despres have in the past. The only way to do that, is to do it. :huntedlikeadog
the thing with these short stages is he can lose a lot of places without losing too much time, meaning he can start way back tomorrow and go barreda crazy!
Barreda has been stopped for 5min per Dakar.com...
Barreda gained all that time yesterday, just to give it back today....
DAKAR BIKES UPDATE STAGE 5
After 53 km, Joan Barreda Bort took a route too far to the north before returning to the main tracks, a slight mistake that only lasted for a half dozen kilometres, enabling him to abandon the duties of opening the road, which is now the responsibility of David Casteu and Olivier Pain...
Oh Yeah! I spent last night in the dunes, but go back on track this morning. Bring it!
rocky today...another busted wheel?? maybe
