    People have been laughing at my resistance to fuel injection for years, I feel vindicated by this year's first few stages!

    Whats the failure point on these fuel pumps? I realize they sit in caustic substances with electricity applied, so life is rough, but seriously this looks like Schattats next product line idea :deal

    quads
    Marcos Patronelli is still in command in the quad category. The Argentinean rider currently leads Lukas Laskawiec by 2'27" and Lucas Bonetto by 7'40". Ignacio Casale is in fourth place 12'13" behind the leader.

    A little story on twitter, just now:

    @Ant_Ware
    @RallyRAIDio after the TDBR 2007 Baja 1000, Pyn & myself rode our 950's from Cabo to La Paz to catch a ferry to mainland Mexico...

    @Ant_Ware
    @RallyRAIDio ...to ride back to Texas via Copper Canyon. Eating breakfast in a seafront cafe that morning & who should stumble in...

    @Ant_Ware
    @RallyRAIDio ...but Baja winner Johnny Campbell & his family. How surreal must it feel, 5 years on, to bump into him at the Dakar bivouac?

    RallyRAIDio ‏@RallyRAIDio
    @Ant_Ware Cool! You should write a ride report, Ant. I can almost, uh, hear the radio playing... :)

    Yep, it's always only Adelaide in the bivouac nowadays. I don't know if Carlton ever was on the ground. Toby Moody used to be there.
