    So have any of the KTM bikes had fuel pump/delivery issues at this point? I haven't seen any mention.

    The one-off bikes are cool, but witnessing what happened to Patrick yesterday (and others in the past) illustrates why for a pure privateer, running equipment that's common on the rally is a huge potential safety net.

    Ned just mentioned that they use the low pressure fuel pumps to pump into the carb float chamber

    NO... what he said was that they use mechanical pumps on carb bikes . EFI bikes use an electronic pump:norton

    It's a bit ironic to me they haven't yet I have to carry a spare fuel pump under the seat of my SE for when it fails. :lol3

    thats what i meant.

    Because the KTM 450rally's are not EFI, they dont have the high pressure FI pumps unlike other FI bikes (Husky/Honda) in the Dakar.
