Rather for Craig Bounds should be in the ASS very soon!
Appently crashed yesterday and broke cracked? something in his back...
Someone found it on his FB page
Maybe! I don't understand how all the penalties work.
He did have to fix engine with his "breast cancer" bracelet. Not "Dakar" bracelet according to the update we got from the crew.
And he is in +2:04!!!
This year we all have France5 and Euro to watch.....media overload
I posted earlier about the shorter stages but I agree with some of the new changes ASO has made, now that I already accepted the change for SA. I will allways regret not seeing the departure from Lisboa - allways thinking "next year I´ll go!".
I agree with the 450 rule, as to allow private riders to have the same (allmost) machines.
I will never agree with changing rules after the "match", or prior to the "match" but in shot notice, in any sport. That drives the fans away!!!
He broke his back. There's a post a way back quoting his update on Facebook I think.
Nikolaev's truck is at a stand still.
From Darryl on Twitter:"@DarrylCurtisSA: After a great start I'm moving back at the moment, I'm still positioned well and riding safe, the guys are starting to put the hammer down !"
He had a penalty on stage 2 of 05:20:00 and on stage 4 of 01:00:00
They should make a list of penalty's and the reason they were given, now you just have to guess but the above can idd be the reason for the big penalty. Also some penalty for the engine swaps...
I did not noticed before, but Pablo Rodriguez (curently 24th), and Honda Argentina rider is racing the HRC bike.
Probably Zanol bike, even having his service crew (Honda Arentina team > Team MEC).
as per FB Dakar.....
Carlos Sainz is out.....following engine problems.
If he gets that thing home after that roll someone needs to buy him a drink!!!

"Boas pessoal! O dia de hoje estava a correr na perfeição, estava na frente da corrida até à neutralização, mas logo após iniciar a segunda secção da especial a moto teve um problema elétrico que me obrigou a parar, tendo perdido muito tempo, terminando o dia na 64ª posição. Hoje foi um dia muito difícil para a equipa Husqvarna Speedbrain. Abraço"
Good folks! This day was running perfectly, I was in front of the race until the neutralization, but soon after starting the second special section of the bike had an electrical problem that forced me to stop, having lost a lot of time, ending the day at the 64th position. Today was a very difficult day for the Team Husqvarna Speedbrain. Hug (
I can just imagine how stoked Lyndon will be with that slow mo footage of him and his bike, he will be showing that to the grandkids in the future. Almost as good as a finishers medal.
Yes, I wish we could see the penalty breakdown here. Or give the crew a dang cell phone that works and affordable.
He did do engine swaps at stage 2 and 4. But they don't cause that much penalty that's listed, do they? How much time is penalized for engine swaps?
More than one would be in order
