If the monitor was right, then Lyndon got reseeded back to like a 50th starting position. Bummer.
Poskitt Lyndon +03.54
Way to go Lyndon !!
Poskitt at +3'54!
Quicker than that Dutch brat.
Le Patron is leading at Wp1
CD appears aggressive out of the gate.
Lyndon maybe could ride as fast as the fast guys IF he just follows and they are navigating AND if his bike can keep up. He has little to loose if he keeps his risk assessment right (which he seems to manage quite well). What I am wondering is if he has his decision already made or if he'll see how it goes during the stage.
The monitor shows a quirky list of riders who are not yet past CP1. The starter list is correct on the normal tracker.
Nooo - it wouldn't and didn't - the actual stage 8 finishing positions with penalties applied to the stage 9 start. so Pyn will be/is off 9th
Was just wondering if I was reading the standings right! Putting the hammer down, it seems!
Cyril should be quite close to Lyndon physically on the track right now ...
Yes, he's in a race. But his instincts are not about the racing part of it, and those will dominate, I think.
And if he got bounced back into the pack (not sure yet on the timing boards), then this discussion is moot.
Starting positions were all over the place but seem to be sorting themselves out at WP1/CP1.
Haha thanks! And it's a pleasure to do this. One day they (i won't use the a-word) will use my ideas to improve their tracking, so we can just sit back and relax watching Dakar
Ehm well.. wishfull thinking I know
Woah...looks like CdP really turned on the jets.
Looks like Lyndon didn't try to hang on to Cyril. Despres overtook him and was at CP1 a minute earlier.
Good boy. Now bring 'er home in one piece.
I think he will have a crack for a while to see what it is like, but he doesn't seem the sort of guy who will risk coming off rather than finishing within his own capabilities
Best seat in the house today, he has.
And Helder - now week 2, I think the men are coming out to play
Go Helder !!!
Laia is 1:52 after.. So i guess Pun is going to have good wiev if he keeps up..
