On a number of stages with multiple loops it was a pleasure to see him pass me by, dueling with Coma and it is awesome to experience the speed and grace at which these professional sportsmen go about their day job.
What is also clearly obvious when you actually put yourself in to the arena instead of commenting from behind a keyboard is how terrifying riding at speed is in the desert! I have the utmost respect for these guys and how they feed their families and if you were to witness them at full chat, 170kms over rocky ground then you may not be so quick to judge them when they are in their 'zone'.
A lot rests in their hands at the DSS, not least their life and livelyhood.
Let's be thankful we still have true heroes in this sanitised world!
Go Cyril! And get well soon Marc!
In case this has not been posted in a while.....This is the way it is......what more do you want?
Very well said in a manner that ALL cannot mis-understand.
Ivan has had some tough luck in the past. He is riding remarkably consistent the last 6 days and has been ramping the speed up a bit every day. Seems to be riding within himself for now so if the bike holds up, it will be very interesting finish.
Hi mate, you hit record, and nothing happens. Then you hit it again and it finishes recording. You will have a video dropped into "My Documents". It caught me out too. I recorded like 40 little 3 second videos before I figured it out!
Once you hit record, go to My Documents, you will have a VLC file there created just then, and it will be like 264kbs in size. Then when you end the recording all that info updates.
Yup - CP2's 4m59s after WP3
Correction: 5m01s after
Born to be Wild!
So far ES coverage has too much truck and not enough HEADBAND......IT NEEDS MORE HEADBAND NOW.
Boundsy now thru WP8 +00:54:18
Pyndon through CP3 now.
Seems SOP noww to skip the live timIng on the last wps and then have ASS times show up?
I would personally prefer cyril to wear a buff rather than a headband. But quite possibly buffs are not fast, if my own experience is any judge.
Wow, Eurosport shows an actual KTM ADV TV ad. Never seen one before.
a bit confuse here between f5, fr4, ES... but his name was mentioned somewhere...
I need a dump - now
ES says they're 15 min from the ASS
Is there something more to that Pain crash? It doesn't look too bad ...
Barreda has 'redesigned' his nav tower again.
WHAT IS THIS BLASPHEMY?!
Any guesses on what's happening to Stan Watt?
He's an tough and resilient rider, not to mention fast. Worried for him!
Ok panic over Stan watt has an iritrack and GPS problem and has completed the first half of the special in 46th
