Just as well it's not through Venuzeula then
trackingdakar.nl I bet I'm 205 but there you go...
edit: Yep, another year, same story...
Thanks Tony, good steady feed!
Yes! This one works!!
veteran franco picco just went through
Some drama already in the quad class,-
One of the candidates, Tomas Maffei (2nd last year) has problems with his Raptor stater and is working on it, have not passed through starting ramp.
I believe Si Pavey went through a bit ago but TV Peru was in split screen so could not quite tell.
Jesus Christ on the podium.
Inmate Johnny Campbell is on!
Doesn't seem to be the same crowd numbers as in Argentina - thoughts?
Had a thought - it was New Years eve and New Years day last year
Noticed that last year...in Argentina, even in small towns, everyone was Dakar crazy. Following the race on radio, cheering like mad, etc. In Peru small towns people were a bit more indifferent.....
Well after a good start yesterday I'm a bit off today, Met my brother for breakfast, He doesn't understand!!
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, crowd numbers look really small
Perhaps they paid the ASO more also
Likely a lot of folks headed to the prologue? Also fences are a bit further back so maybe crowds just don't show up on camera?
Peruvians dont get up very early at all. They will be lining the streets I can tell you that. Dont know where deadly gets his perception from, we rode with the riders and had thousands worshippiing us even though we were not in the Dakar as competitors...
Announcer is going to try to pronounce PRZYGONSKI JAKUB
Ya but in Argentina you'd have tens of thousands of people cheering....plus those Argentina women...oh la la..best "fencies" hands down
Just saw a raptor go over the ramp, looks like he made it...
