    A quick recap:

We have a flood of tears this morning from some real emotionally posts, we have Vicks getting a DNF for trying to sneak Patrol back in here( how you say in your language the key is gone?) And for spelling a country we drop the first letter for example Peru is eru....and Rubby means Robby.

Now back to the rench Olympics!

Someone make sure Pyndon reloads his shotgun please:clap

    That's a nasty one.

I always have that fear that my bike is going to slid in some gorge ... :eek1

I bet more then a few competitors are happy that there are so many spectators at el Dakaro.

Just boarded plane to get to penultimate bivouac of the Dakar. Late start for bikes today 8am due to heavy fog in copiapo.

So, is Faria going to have a 20 minute technical which will cost him the silver medal, even the bronze, or is CDP going to be even more of a gent than we could ever imagine and have Caselli back him up?

I would suspect we don't see Ruben with mysterious breakdown and that CDP will gain a lot of pleasure out of seeing Ruben next to him on the podium and a little bit lower of course :lol3

    No engingate rumours today? :rofl

No, Faria i'm pretty sure will race to retain his 2nd overall.

WC duties will fall to either Pedrero or Kurt, or both.

    ten minutes (howyalikemymathnow punks?)

In theory he could, he starts 4 minutes behind Cyril, and a full 26 minutes behind Verhoeven who opens today. If they both push hard to the finish he might well nab the Stage

Dakar 2013 - Stage 13 - The penultimate day of the 2013 Rally Dakar will most probably start in thick fog, known by the locals as “Camanchaca”. As soon as clear visibility returns, the competitors are greeted by the Dakar’s final dune fields, which stretch out for over a third of the special stage. They are followed by open sections, which look like easy pickings. However, large stones can easily result in punctures, which can shatter any Dakar dreams in the final meters.

    18 January 2013 - Stage: 13
    Start/Finish: Copiapó/La Serena
    Start: local time
    Bikes: 09:30hr
    Total length: 735km
Liaison sections: 90 km (56 miles)
Special stage: 441 km (274 miles)
