On piste he's in a good position to attack, Jakes is 3 mins ahead so he can charge on.

A few (hundreds of) pages ago there was also some information on the ASO'les not very promotive of the whole Malle Moto thing due to the lack of support during the marathon stage before rest day. I remember reading some comments also mentioning that this year the M designation on the stickers was missing from the Malle Moto bikes.

I checked several known malle moto riders profiles on the Dakar website and in all of their profile description, the word Malle Moto makes a prominent appearance but in Manuel's case it does not. They only say his assistance is from the trucks carrying spare parts. Not sure if they mean his "box" carrying the tools and spares as a MAlle Moto entrant ?

in any case, its the aSO'les website and the information presentation/data entry is so inconsistent that i was tearing my hair out after a few minutes.

So, we are back to square one. Is Manuel Malle Moto or not ?

What would be the ktm strategy for a situation where lopez would get faria on track (as he did)? :ear

    Either way Chaleco 2nd
    Faria 3rd.

    KTM 1,2,3....

Just not all factory riders, Makes Chaleco's ride even more impressive.

Looks like Matt Fish and Faggotter and the rest of the Aussies are hitting it pretty well today. Good on them.
And Laia's doing a mighty fine job through wp7.

The question is if they (factory ktm) want to open the track tomorrow or leave it to Lopez

Is Stage 14 a typical parade lap or is there much chance of position-swapping (other than due to mechanical)?
