Really nice set of pix kaia!
Thanks. Gutted for them to make it just this far.
Morning catch up done - dog walk and gym next, a few chores and catch you all for the final party - but what a party it's going to be - it could be the most focused stage yet
Thank you. Listening now. Thanks again to Nate for your diligence with this.
Lol. We can start counting with "one"
Hey, I'm actually cooking to tonight!
Thanks again, Kaia.
A massive thanks to PM for arranging Pyn's call-in tonight whilst away with his family and all that.
This was a milestone call-in. Almost all the apprehension is gone now, but not quite. Pyn knows the limits of his bike like never before in his life. I had a little laugh when he mentioned the sports bikes trying to keep up with his RR on knobblies. Some of us can relate to that story I'm sure. Probaly his best masterclass so far riding in dust with the number of overtakes today. He can't drop his guard yet. He'll be listening to every little noise, but he can enjoy a one-day ride to the finish of Dakar 2013 surely?
Went for dinner and came back to Lopez taking a 15 minute engine change :eek1
Lyndon almost sounded like he was tired
Luis defies all odds, again
No news about Kurt's engine......
Other than first place, we're heading into the last stage with a race for the podium
best F5 season ever? YES

working on stage 13 now.
OH YES! One of the best ever, and France 2/4 coverage gave it a whole new view this year.
I enjoyed ES too
and did you know that Chicherit knows how to drive a Mini too?

Just looked beyond the bikes to the other categories and it's looking like there has been some serious attrition in the fields today.
Hopefully it's just wacky trackers, but notables include a Bowler from GBR that went missing after WP12 -- that isn't "Joy" the last Race2Recovery car is it? So close to the end of the stage! Also the Canadian truck of Turcotte is still out there somewhere.
Thankfully the R2R Joy made it today and with luck will make it to Santiago tomorrow. From their FB:
"At last Team Joy have completed Stage 13 of Dakar 2013; feeling emotional now! So nearly there!"
Gian's got it. M(arathon) is counterpart to SP (Super Production), which refer to bike mods.
ASO have never been good about differentiating the other sub-categories in the standings. Thank heavens for Mischa!
Is it just me or does the female announcer in the Dakar .com Michelin-sponsored videos almost sound like a robot translator? :huh
Dakar.com photos from stage 13. i've cross-posted everything over in the Dakar 2013 Media thread.

Dakar.com has a bunch of photos for each stage that they're not showing in the main "photos" area... slightly hidden. cross-posted everything over in the Dakar 2013 Media thread.
Keep an eye out after the event. We can kick some ideas around.
Who did you cover it for?
Feels weird. Still can't believe Luis made it through yesterday
Actually sounds like she's french but learned her english in UK and it makes for a twisted accent...
