Ha ha - good gag!
This is not entirely unplausible... and the only other explanation other than the fact that the results team just have not assesed/factored the (reputed) 15 minute engine exchange penalty for Chaleco...
But you can bet that KTM management want (should) know what the real deal is... cause going into a final 17 km selective with a one second advantage is not something that's happened before...
How long (for those who have a handle on the live time frame) until they make the end of the nutralized zone... and resume the second timed sector?
According to the live passage times, Chaleco is physically first on road about 10 minutes ahead (real time) of despres physically on course?
Ha... after a January of 6 - 6.5 hrs of sleep per night it was very tempting to get some payback this Saturday morning. Following from PST kind of sucks, much easier when I was in Austin, TX in CST
Faria's watercarrying for Despres, were 14' on stage 3 and another 2' on stage 8 (?). Can't remember if there were more. So, using a bit of that Robbie Gordon's logic "If my aunt had testicles she would be my uncle", Ruben would have won this Dakar IF
Sounds like bloody Verhoeven too :)
Blech...work sux....did I miss anything in the past hour? :huh
I'm going back to re-post all who were already counting the Dakar over>
Only the whole race....
Pyn through WP3!
GMT + 4 here and certainly no more sleep per night over the last 2 weeks
Dakar.com clearly says the 15 minutes will be added AFTER today's special. no real drama here at all.
Nope, tracker is freaky, shows Despres 8 minutes back, we believe that's bullshit, top riders are on the huge neutralization.
Very respectable times!!

Just wait on WP4 times, everything is going to be shaken up by then
