GO GO GO LUIS
They had five in the rally this year. let's see...
Out in stages 3, 5, 7, 11 and maybe one still in it.
So does he do it for country, or go with a proven group. I think he could go MAN as well if that were the case. I don't know that Kamaz or Tatra would want him, but who knows...
On my feed viewed in VLC there's currently snooker going on, and according to the TV schedule that corresponds to that broadcast the Dakar show is to start at 22:49 UTC/GMT.
I'm guessing that you're watching the other feed (the dedicated UK-feed via your cabel TV provider?) and according to that schedule it says that the Dakar show is to start at 23:00 (UTC/GMT)
Go for the finish!!!!
Dakar shows Luis in at ASS!!
luis shows in!!!!!
Looking for somebody familiar with the rules. Is there any kind of time limit a rider needs to complete one of these middle neutralized zones? I don't think Louis would care about a time penalty but it would be crap if he were DQ'd.
how far between wp4 and ass ?
I am on phone....
Purely speculation but I think if ASO responded to a distress call they would notify crew ASAP (JMo would know) and crew would find some way to notify those back at the hearth.
Either 11 or 15 or 17km. I get confused easily.
Edit: but from there it's 158km to bivouac.
Varies. At some point they close the cp. They know he is out there....
So 11 Km is about 7 miles.............and it looks downhill on the profile!
Somebody elaborated not long ago that a rider only lose their start slot and gains the extra time, so he should not be DQ'ed
Yep, Live Timing has him in!!
Dakar Iron Man!
They only notify if there is a death or a very bad accident. His team can enquire at the officials tent though but being the final stage it would be very tough to find officials likely
CONGRATS LUIS!!!!! JOB WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!!
