I am in San Juan. everything went well, finally almost. I was a little scared at first because there was a crossing of Rio with a lot of water so I decided to run cool, my hand to avoid damaging the bike. Finally, seeing that the others were either navigational errors or fell, I decided to take a faster pace. Chaleco joined me in the last 40-50 kilometers and we drove together. So start of this rally is going great, the peaks suit me well and above all I do not take my head, I ride to feel, I feel safe on the bike, I do not have strength and I the margin. I intend to continue in this state of mind, I forbid me anything, I'm just confident. Physically I'm OCD and I look forward to more.
Thank you for your messages I receive, it warms the heart.

Thoughts go out to Ruben, heal quickly! I hope it's nothing too serious.

Just goes to show how easy it is to make mistakes at the front running speeds, these guys are full on athletes and one split second and you need a ride in the chopper.

    Ride safe everyone!

Any truth to the rumour I just heard that the Orga might drop the timing on the last 100kms because of all the chaos and lost riders?

Doesn't seem very fair to me when all the lead bikes have bust-a-gut to get to the marathon bivouac in good time tonight...

Isn't this meant to be a navigation rally?

    Discuss.

So does Honda encourage Barreda to back off a little to increase the likelihood that he'll finish the race or let him keep riding like he has the gonads of a bull?
