To get what everyone here wanted Joan to do, he should have shoved it up the Team Manager's Ass and canceled Joan's marching orders in stage 12
What manufacturer is finally going to produce a Rallye replica for all us Walter Mitty types ?
It'd be doubly nice if it was even available in the USA (unlike many others in the past).
Barreda. From Offroadside Rally FB.
Mike and Marc
Via Breauxman. Thanksman
shite sorry for the giant pic. How do I shrink this thing again?
Good for him. BIg ol spirit.
Mr hrc doesn't look that disappointed.
How does the multiple tank fuel system work on rally bikes
Read something earlier in this F5 thread or pre-F5 thread that Honda says they will produce their rally bike they used in this Dakar, for sale to the general public. My guess is it will be very pricey if they do.
Nothing from KTM except rumors for a decade.
Barreda San - let me show you the Japanese version of the Vulcan death grip !
Ok amigo - did I stress test the new 450 sufficient for you - that was team orders before we started wasn't it?
Joan, come down here and let's talk while they get pics of the winners.
No more of these for you....
KTM did with the 640 Adventure (similar to the 660 Rallye) untill 2007 but I think the consumer community hadn't realized they wanted it. KTM was only selling 200 640 Adventures a year when they killed it off. Now the community is interested but nothing replaced it. But it's still a fringe market and the factories probably don't feel the volume of sales wouldn't be there.
I think he has to be very happy with the performance of the bike (we'll except for catching a bunch of dead grass next to the header
). He know's he has a bike capable of winning and riders capable of doing the business.
Thank you to EVERYONE who contributed to this years ADV-f5 Dakar experience.
ALL of you have made this an incredibly enjoyable, interactive, hilarious and engaging experience far far exceeding what any broadcast TV could ever hope to provide.
Over this past 17 days I have been Reprimanded at work - Scorned by my wife and Hell even my conscience has screamed at me to do something....anything!!...other than sit in front of the computer and hit F5;
but I don't regret one second of it and would do it all over again!....
And will in 2015!
A toast to ALL!!
