Shortly after the 338 km mark, Italian Alessandro Botturi's systems have sent out a signal stating he is immobile in the first area of dunes on the Dakar 2014. Slightly too far north in relation to all the other competitors, he may have become the first victim of the grey sands of Nihuil.

If Botturi is at 338km, surely the leaders are finished at this point.

Somebody needs to get Manny on a mission:

He needs to find a way to get Mischa access to the iritrack raw data.

    Thanks for this. :thumb

Maybe phone the wife and ask her to bring it out to ya? :lol3

How is your shed holding up Ted? :ear

Brodomath... I'm missing his posts big time. :cry It will never be that same style but let me try:

Barreda got to KM177 in 1.6167 hours.
So his average speed was 109 km/hr (that's damn fastl!)

65 km are dunes so we assume they go at 89km/hr for that. 0.73 hrs
the balance distance of 117km lets say he does in an hour exactly.

So time remaining is 1.73 hours from CP1. or 1:43:48

    Therefore ETA would be 10:33:04 + 1:43:48 = 12:16:52

They are late, so anytime right now.

Pizzolito stopped at km 266, dunes
