Day two was riddled with carnage all up and down the board in all categories... moto, quad, SXS and Auto/Truck

on the back of that, faced with the first leg (SS3) of the two day marathon ahead today... :deal

"Well. all I can predict is... it's gonna get worse before it gets better f5olks...! :nod

I'd thought that many would have learnt, even if their only knowledge of South America was just from Dakar coverage, that it's largely a thoroughly modern, urbanised group of societies - look to the crowds and their toys / transport at most spectator sections.

I can get off a plane, at any international airport in the world, and find Third World standards of living, within a few minutes, just as I can find it 50 / 500 miles away. And I include my country, OZ, in that.

It's a big wide world out there - I'd say much of South America, is part of the future of the world, perhaps, moreso that the North, and much of the 'established West', in general.

At that time the rules specifically said they did not guarantee picking up sidecars or quads, just solo motos. But my point was that they helped this guy cheat with the local's truck, and in Peter's case they DQ'd him for basically the same thing.

Another late finisher here. This damn thing called work keeps getting in the way. I can't wait to see how the marathon stages go over the next two days. Congratulations to Sam on the stage win. Tomorrow we will see how well he will do opening the track. Maybe even a future alien flash, by which I mean he leads the stage from start to finish.

Me too baring any thing out of the blue. Apparently he's beaten Rodrigues at a rally in Dubai. He certainly didn't hang around in the dunes !
