Just found this.
Dakar Rally Old School
Unfortunatly, I don't read Spanish.
Tilting at windmills in the finest Spanish style?
Let google translate the page ... is going to be mostly correct.
Hardwaregrrl's post had a link to the Racing Forum that i thought was important too.
Thanks for the reminder to use Google translate, Pollo.
Look at me!
Thanks anotherguy!!! Can't believe there is so little interest in Old's Cool as to this great undertaking. This guy is a maniac!!! I really want to see him finish
If you read the blog it's not the first rally he's entered. He seems to place well. Finishing the Dakar is honorable. Not to mention on a '78 Bultaco.
I for one have not expressed great interest, because I feel like it's no big deal, of course he will finish, he is on a Bultaco! These are great motorcycles!
Of course it IS a big deal, but I am not surprised, having owned several Bultaco's, I have near total faith in them!
I would like to know how he powers those lights. My Bultacos barely have enough juice to power one little 6v light.
I've a feeling the only factory part in that Bultaco is the tank decals. Then again...............maybe not.
He hasn't shown up on any Iritrack record or CP's today Not sure where he is, hopefully he hasn't crashed and broken his hip as Jenny Morgan has done...http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=616099&page=60
Hoping for the best for Ignacio right now...I
