Hola! I'm hoping to catch the last stage of the Dakar Rally (as a spectator!) and then ride down to Tierra Del Fuego. So I have two questions for yall.

    1) do any of you have the coordinates for the spectator zone tomorrow? All the info I found on the Dakar site is for the start tomorrow, not the spectator zone in the Limache/ Villa Alamana area near Santiago. I'm hoping to get those coordinates. I am in Vina Del Mar right down the road.

    2) anyone want to ride south after the rally or early next week? I'm traveling solo.

    Cheers!

Check the racing forum in the live Dakar coverage thread stickied at the top. I'm sure someone there can dial you in. Maybe check dakar.com if you haven't already. It may be easier to check around locally, I was able to find better places to spectate this way.

    Thanks Goat.

The Dakar website leaves a little to be desired, and most of the locals in the area didn't really know where to be.... but there were tons of people lining the surrounding streets and waving at anyone on a bike, rally car or mega truck. It was that way all the way back to Santiago. I love the fact that people just hung around on the highway all day, waving hands and Chilean flags.

PorkandCorn (aka Fritz) and I gringo-d our way into the VIP area and got to watch some of the special. Pretty damn cool I must say.

    Cheers,
