It's the Hungry Horse Dam that holds back the Hungry Horse Res. It's in MT, near Glacier.
To think, I was about 10 miles away from there last summer.
I am still trying to figure out if I am going to head back to Alaska next summer, or just take a wonder around the western half of the US.
Anyway, it is now bookmarked in my wish list of places to see.

This is a Power Plant and Damn down by Ripley, Oh., on the Ohio River. Rt. 52 runs along the river all the way to Cincinnatti.

The road was built as a service road for the dam.
It was a 120 mile run, 'bout 50 in dirt, a tour through the mid elevation Sierra Nevada.
The dust was held at bay fairly well by the recent rains, yet there wasn't too much mud either
