only reason I started with Guzzi was Dave was local. Love that guy and he will be missed. In the article he talks about it being more than him, but that's just him being humble. People come from far and wide to meet Dave and get his wisdom. Sad times for guzzi owners, but lets hope the new guy keeps the same mom and pop feel at the shop.

    Spot on.
Truly one of the best men in the game, and one of the last of the old-skool cats who understands that customer service isn't just a buzzword.
And....he never ever ever called me bro.

Another Seattle Character takes his leave. Someone's going to have big shoes to fill.

I have an Aprilia because of Dave. He let me test ride one every time I passed through the area (I live in Olympia). He stayed plenty late to sell me one after work one day and made the process as easy (and affordable) as possible. Because of him, I try to stop by and spend a few bucks there when I am in the area. Great guy, low key, friendly, and knowledgeable.

I've never met the guy unfortunately, but i have had the pleasure of dealing with really good, talented, no rush bike shop sales/parts staff before & its a pleasure...one which you happily return for & refer people to.
    Unfortunately rarely seen these days.

Customer service with a capital S. I walked in there 10 years ago, off work for a month after surgery to my 'private area', feeling sorry for myself. 15 minutes later, he hands me his helmet and I'm riding around on a Tuono R, i come back and he swaps keys and sends me off on the superbike version of Tuono. I came back, I'd clearly injured my recent surgical work, but beaming. My doctor gave me big time shit! Anyways, I was so impressed wit the guy, I told 2 buddies, who went down and bought a Tuono, and a 1200S Guzzi. He even delivered each one personally 100 miles north to Blaine. He brushed it off each time, saying he was going to visit his Mum in White Rock anyways. Very cool guy.

Dave--great guy but it was not just that. He surrounded himself with other great guys and gals. Always came away with a smile after doing business at Moto International.

Let's keep sending MI as much business as possible. We know Dave hired good people - it's a small shop carrying a niche set of bikes. Would be nice to see them succeed without Dave. It's not an easy business.

I think I'll make the annoying Olympia to Seattle run Saturday to congratulate Dave and buy a brake bleeder if they have one. Maybe he'll encourage me to take out something for a little ride.
