Just made a reservation. Hmmn, they have a 2 night minimum on weekends, ok, I guess we'll have to stay 2 nights then :1drink Truck it over to Bend Thursday night, follow your guys route out to Paisley Friday, find some cool riding in the Paisley area Saturday (shouldn't be hard), Sunday ride back to Bend. maybe on CHR. Sun night truck it back to PDX. Sounds like a plan to me :thumb

P.S No way I'm gonna associate myself with you BDS low-lives, I can smell a clear trap :rofl nah, will let him know.

Enjoy yourself! It is beautiful out there in a strange sort of way. You can park at my place in Redmond if you want but Brad's is way closer to the trail head on Ford Rd. Just give me a shout if you need it.

Thanks Stuart. I'll let you know. Brad, you have room for us to park a truck/trailer at your place? Toss up, Redmond is closer to PDX.

Several of us BDSers are headed to Cali via Silver Lake/Bly on the 30th at 8am from Bend, not going through Christmas Valley though but we're going your way for a while. :evil Taking Ford Rd/China Hat Rd.

You can park here Tony for the low low cost of a 12 pack of your favorite beer. :D You won't wanna slab back to Redmond, trust me.

Make it a warm 40oz. And it's only 25 miles of slab to Ford Rd Tony. Brad is allergic to slabbing more than a mile to two. Plus it won't cost you anything to park at my place.:thumb

Hehehe. Yeah, it sure sounds like Brad's thirsty. I guess we'll have to see. 3 bikes 50 miles or a 12 pack.

Since we're looking at getting a motel in Bend area, maybe they'll let us leave the truck there.

Thanks for the offer, I'll let you know. I've done all the route planning and hot springs reservation, leaving it to my compatriots to figure out the first night lodging situation.

Anyone know where the "powerline" trail is in relation to Fandango. Supposedly ends at a microwave station. Start/end waypoints?

If we reach Paisley by 3pm first day, might be looking for a couple hours extra riding. Anyone have any good suggestions.

Second day I have the OBDCR route to Lakeview plotted. Third day ride back to Bend and an early departure back to PuddleTown.

No, I just like knobs on my tires and a quick load up and drive 3.5 hours home after a bunch of dirt miles.

    Tony, want some tracks??:deal

Yeah, Tony always wants more tracks :D (As long as you don't incriminate any innocents.)

So, you beer-thirsting Bend folks, I doubt any of you have enough couch space for three of us wet-siders on a Thursday before our ride to Paisley. Any suggestions for a cheap motel in Bend?

Dunno about cheap but this place has a brew pub on one side and a pancake house on the other.

I gave him tracks to Plush. Powerline included. Now he owes me biggggggggg. :D

What's the date of your excursion? We might be able to give you a queen bed and floor space... parking too. Be advised: 8 Gerbils live in that room too and they love their new exercise wheels in the wee hours. :rofl (they can be relocated for the evening, ha!)

How the heck did I miss this excellent RR? You guys had an awesome ride and great photos too. That crazy cattle guard! Scared the crap out of me the first time I saw it - kind of an illusion huh?

Any place with "Towne" in the name can't be cheap, can it? :lol3 $103 for a night.

    The location sounds good, tho!
    Thanks.

Thanks for the offer, Brad, but I'd hate to mis-place the gerbils. I mean, displace :lol3
Really, it's a generous offer, but sounds like a hassle on a Thursday night/Friday morning. I'm trying to find an appropriate motel.
