Life is good.
Tiger is good.
Hopefully all is well down there.
I have been getting out a bit and finding some dirt south of Beaufort!
I accidentally started my old thread up on the topic (the thread I started before I found this one) http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?p=23589777#post23589777
But I will continue posting in here instead!
There seems to be a labyrinth of dirt roads and trails etc behind the walmart on 278 in Okatie, SC.
Heading West on 278 towards 95, pass the walmart on your right and immediatly take a right onto Argent Blvd. very soon after that pass New River Parkway and look on your left for an entrance to the forest road system. I seems like you could spend a few days in there with the amount of spur roads that peel off the main ones. Some look less traveled than others and some are false, dead ending soon after they start.
This entrance I mention on Argent has no gates or signs that I could see and seems to be legal to ride. during the ride I had to turn around a few times when the trail ended at either a no trespassing sign or gate. This was my first real time off road and I wasn't too focused on pictures... I still took 1! lol
Well, it has been WAAAAY too long since I posted in here. Things have just been insane. But, I shall endeavor to begin posting again :)
So here are a couple from about 3 weeks ago.
Hopefully I will have some nice ones from my yearly Christmas trip up home to Indiana
hope everybody is doing well
Good to have you back.
A new Canon should arrive today
A very nice little SX520HS 16MP P&S with 1080P vid, 3" live screen, full manual settings and some auto settings, etc. 42X optical zoom (lens is equiv to 24mm-100mm)...F stop range is a bit limited, though. Only 3.4-8.0, that I can see.
Will be much more suited to little moto jaunts than my good ole 5D MKI and all the various lenses.
Time to renew my pass for Cypress Gardens.
Winter has been quite sucky. Still recovering from pneumonia, so I haven't been going out much. Warmer weather is making me antsy!
anyone have GPS tracks of good roads? Now that I'm replacing my GS and Tuono with a Super Adv, I won't be forced to decide which bike to ride, and can do both dirt and tarmac in the same ride
I am sorry, but I don't. I am quite low tech when it comes to gadgetry...hence my KLR
i'm going to ride down that way this summer, i have some time off work, and have been reading through your report and writing down all the places to check out! i'm looking forward to seeing it all and getting some pics too. Thanks for showing the coastal area to us!
Send me a note when you guys get down here. I'd be happy to show you around
I'd love to be out taking photos, but recurring pneumonia is keeping me inside...CT scan last week, and pulmonary doc on the 2nd of June. Would love to get to the bottom of this.
i'll definitely send a message to you.
I hope you get the respiratory condition sorted out soon... feel better!
