Wayne nice Versys! Is that a Shinko front? How are they holding up. I stopped considering them after I read some reviews about them having durability issues.

I just put on a set of Pirelli Scorpion Trail. First time mounting motorcycles tires and it was as much work as I expected.

    It's not mine. :D

That's XC Rider's totaled Versys a couple of days before the insurance company took it away.

While not a dual sport tire, I have a Shinko R011 Verge on the back of the Bandit. Currently has 10K on it and appears to be good for a couple more. The most I have gotten out a rear before, Conti Force, was just over 9K.

So you tied to load a round into the chamber of the bike change pistol, eh? Too bad he didn't let you pull the trigger.

    He's 69 and slowing down,(according to him) no need for such a bike as a 1050. :lol3

I'd like to have a mo proppa dirt machine, and that DRZ really hit the button. Ah well...

cant' even begin to sell the Tiger til my 650 is on the road again......:ddog

Tom, 2 bikes are nice, especially if you do your own wenchin:evil.... I suppose, if your only bike was a Strom, that might be ok, but my 650 has had many electrical issues and has spent MONTHS and MONTHS apart in my basement. :dunno... I didn't say I was good at wenching.... :evil

You don't have to kiss ass just cuz your on the thread I started :D when buying the Strom I wanted a true do all machine. Thats not saying Stroms are the only ones by far. But certainly one of the only ones I can afford. That being said I did just about everything on the Nighthawk as well with street tires and two-up. I think HBN was testing me that day. Pretty sure I passed other than the vertigo kicking in heading up to Spruce Knob which ended my day quickly.:puke1

Sometime between Laurel Fork and CCC3 Im gonna do some localish camping if anyone wants to join. Thinking Pocomoke State forest. Waiting for the water to warm so we can canoe and stuff. Some decent roads down that way. Maybe head down to Chincoteague Va for a day trip. Just a thought at this point. I stopped in there yesterday to get my head together after seeing a horrible accident. I was still shaking. I have seen way to many people killed in my life for some reason. Yesterday makes 8, I think, total. Seems odd other than folks who have been in a war or rescue types to see that many, no?

First thought I had and then talked amongst myself about was to check your shifter adjustment before you head out on your first ride after you buy either pair. And then I thought for that small bit of price difference I'd get the AStars.

Well at least your foot isn't too sore to try on MX boots. :D

I like my Tech 3's. Not fun to walk in and shifting takes on a new dimension but otherwise a lot of bang fer da buck....and $219 is the same price as MC Superstore.

You get used to moving your leg a little when you shift. :nod

The stiff sole makes them hard to walk in, but that's also what keeps your foot from being folded in half.
