I did this ride yesterday on my 1150GSA and it was fantastic! A long day in the saddle, but very satisfying! Littleton to Woodland Park to Canon City to Woodland Park to Littleton. 263 miles in 10 hours.

Yep. Great ride. Done it many times. Next time you do it stop in Cayon City at Cayon Cafe. Good food and great coffee.

If you are into cherry cider and other juices like that right down the road in cayon city there is a place called, DiNardos (sp?), great stuff in there too.

Probably Merlinos - they're an old time Canon City fixture.

We've ridden that loop (out of COS up Gold Camp Rd) twice recently. There's a good mexican restaurant called Ortega's on main st south of Hwy 50.

Great ride up from Old Stagecoach if washboard isn't at it's worst. Better Burgers and Real MILKshakes at "The Owl" cigar store on main street in Canon City.

That is a great ride. I have done it before, and will be doing something like it next week. Taking the Wife and Mom-in-law to Cripple Creek. i will take my DRZ and explore. Last time I did Phantom to Cannon city, then up Shelf Road. I did some exploring along Shelf Road. Neat area. I plan to do more this time.

Looks like a great ride for tomorrow if the weather shapes up a bit (nothing like October in July in CO).

Question, my buddy has a Ducati ST3 and I have a KTM 990 ADV. I don't mind the dirt but he's not up for that on his ride. Looking at it on Google Earth I cannot tell all the road types, some of it looks like dirt. Any advice would be great.

BTW any forum/thread out there for Denver area ADV riders? Looking to hook up with some like minded riders in SW Denver. THANKS.
