Sounds hard. Really hard. So I'd say maybe. :dunno

Where are you in OR? I can point you to places that are similar in difficulty, try them and find out. Or better, I or someone local to you who's ridden the D100 before could give you a tour of appropriate local trails.

Mostly all about finishing in one piece? or all about finishing mostly in one piece? :D

As the sweep captain of the Desert 100 I tip my hat to all you guys that raced the Adventure class. That course is tough on a well set up 450 dirt bike let alone a 500lb behemoth!

The sweep crew had to help a lot of people on dirt bikes, get them running again, escort them off the course, etc but I never heard of any of the Adventure riders needing help. Impressive.

Thanks for coming out and thanks to Darryl for instigating this craziness a couple years ago!

Yeah, a friend saw it fly off and retrieved it for me. Funny that in the 50 miles it could have fell off that it happened 20yrd from the finish line!

Great video. The best part was that you edited it!! Not 30 mins of trudging along. I think every small bike I passed I would have yelled You Suck! :lol3

Most people including me have a very short attention span so highlights are the only way to go!

When can you pre-register for the race? The pre-register hyper link on their Web page is not active

I'm looking forward to when they release the rules for the adventure class. Sounds like there might be some changes!

I might have to give this a try this year on my XR650R. I'm no racerboy but it looks like fun anyway.

Last time I looked the rules for the Adv. Class were pretty specifically written up AGAINST the BRPs.:cry Seems that folks think they might have some sort of an advantage over a 1200 GS Beemer.:lol3

Could be, I couldn't care less what class they stick me in. I'll still be getting passed by GSAs and kids on 50s. Sometimes I miss the 1150 but not often ;)

Do it, its a blast. The BRP will work pretty good out there.

And yep, don't worry about what class you're in too much, just go out and have fun. -Ed

I have run my XRR at the D100 a few times. It's a blast. I highly recommend it. I missed last year but will be there this year.
