    ad DockingPilot:

of course you are right the TT Fairing is overpriced in any way.

But - if its expensive i can expect a mounting system for an IMO or a Roadbook like you see it on the 1100 and 1200 Desierto fairings.

I think if there would be the possibility to mount such a device more people would buy it.

We are talking about expensive stuff anyway. There is nothing really cheap associated with beemers.:rofl

    But thats another issue.

If its good - i pay.

If it isnt i will do it myself (and save the money :evil)

I just want to see more pictures of it from different angles and from further back to get an overall sense of the thing.

And you will my little Sasquatch, you will, soon enough.
Here's what I'm hoping for. Nice air due tot he ability to adjust (without tools too btw) fore and aft and up and down. Combine that with an awesome look (hopefully) and we might justify my expenditure ! :lol3

Adjustability of the windsheild and the "possibility'' of the mounting options are what Im waiting to see myself. :ricky Over a foot of snow here overnight. Ive got time to see how this pans out. :lol3

Sounds like I'll get the Desierto hopefully tomorrow (or today, if I can get them on the phone and stop them from shipping it so I can just drive down there and pick it up!). "Santa Claus" might insist on wrapping it and stuffing it under the tree, though, so that would delay any feedback from me ... so it's all you, DP. :)

Anybody have any pics of what the GPS/IMO computer mount looks like on the other Desierto versions? It did look like the instrument cluster on the 800 crowded into the space that I would imagine a bracket would typically mount, and it will be a bit fussy to fit, but still totally doable in my opinion. Time will tell ...

Edit: just picked it up from TT downtown, need to do some negotiating with Santa to see if I can pop it open early and get some photos ...

I think these are the images of the Desierto on a tanker GS800

The two images underneath are of the Desierto 3 for R 1200 GS (the difference with regard to the dashboard side is the mount adapter a la Touratech).
Gumbying something to adapt the Touratech mount adapter shouldn't be difficult.

Is there a close-up view of how the GPS mount attaches to the support for the fairing? That'd be handy ...

Already about sold on it. Looks great and the travel that the wind screen shows on the pics looks great. Ya just know the GPS mounts are just around the corner.
