Over 16,000 miles with my Desierto 3 on my 2012 F650GS and still enjoying it. I would love it if Touratech had a larger windshield available. Hint, hint!

I would be second in line to order the larger windshield…. Double hint..

Nothing wrong with the one that comes with it but I leave mine all the way extended 99% of the time. It would be nice to have a little more to raise it up when pounding the interstate heading to the next dirt road.

My thoughts exactly! I also find myself in a lot of rain, and better coverage is always welcome.

Anyone in the general Portland, OR. area that has the Desierto 3 on their F800GS? I'm looking at buying one but want to see it and test if before dropping the money.

If you are cool with that, please let me know, send me a PM.

    Thank you in advance! :clap

I have a nearly used desierto that has a broken fairing--the black plastic portion--that is still functional and could be fixed. Insurance bought me a new one. Anyone interested? I'll make you a special deal. I want to emphasize its used but functional. Shoot me a message.

Before you spend tons of cash, check out Britannia Mirage 3, half the cost, just as nice...unless you want to buy a name, then go for the more expensive set up. http://www.britanniacomposites.com/

I don´t know about discounts, but later this year, here in germany, the Desierto 3 was at 550 € and now it is at 505€. Still a pain in the ass!

Wow ... with the Euro being at close to par with the USD ... that's quite a savings over the USA price of $850 .............

Yeah in Switzerland the Desierto 3 is $600 delivered vs $590 delivered (taxes paid) for the Mirage 2. So nothing in it. I went with the Mirage 2 though.
