So VG44 can you give me a comparison of the two big adventure bikes? I sold a 1150 GSA last year and still havent filled the void. I take it you like the GSA over the 990? I hear that the KTMs are like the sportbikes of the dirt but very maintenence heavy. I like your 1200 btw, love the fuel mileage on the big tanks.

I am looking forward to the impartial comments regarding BMW vs KTM.

BMW 1200 GSA. A plush fancy couch.

KTM 950/990 A more dirt friendly couch.

Both require balls of steel to ride on dirt.

That's why I PM'd him and we talked on the phone. No need to start a war over why the BMW is better then the KTM. One side note, the KTM I sold was black; its faster then the stock orange KTMs. :evil

You should park them facing away from the wall. Then they will look like they are ready to go for a ride.

The way you have them now looks like they are being punished.

Lol that's because they keep making me fall off. If I can finish a ride without doing so, perhaps I will reward them:killen

Anyone know the campground we will use in Frederic? Happi Days has a strange note on their site saying the diner is closed and the campground is no longer a business, but folks are welcome to come on a first come first serve basis.

There is another campground there called Trails Campground.

    Thx,

    Randy

    Randy,

I called them a couple weeks ago and talked one of the owners of Happi Trails. He said the diner is closed, however the campground was open, but not being run like a business. I took it as you can camp there, however very limited services. He also said that I was lucky to catch him as it was during the week. I think you would have better luck talking to them on the weekend. Made me think he is working somewhere during the week.
