Late to the party? Doug does a lot of off-road riding. This bike is intended for the TransAmerica Trail.

The 29 is Awesome! Looks about the same as when I saw it in PA but sounds a lot better. Looking forward to the road test.

Just to fill you in, I have an idea those tires were intended for MY bike, then Doug found a bike to fit them onto! :rofl

    Hey Bernard
    Yep, you are right :D

But I hadnt heard from you in a long time, so I built a bike to use them on. I hate to see good tires just sitting!

I can still get you another set

    Doug

    Testing now ?
Head up to Hampton, Tn. , Rick's Rondezvous starts tomorrow. I'm sure you'd be granted 'Special Guest" status.
There'll be plenty of gravel roads and worse to test out the new rig .
    See ya there ?

bike is much closer to being done. I was gone to an AMCA meet in NC for several days, so Im behind on this. But I did find some goodies for the '29

I wanted to line the inside of the box with something to keep the rattles down. I was gonna use carpet, but then I remembered these foam letters I picked up at a yard sale for a couple bucks. I was gonna use them in the garage, but never did. So I figured I'd use them in here

So Ive been randomly glueing them in the box. Should work fine, & really spruces up the interior!

I'm a chopper guy, but since Im not riding one this time, I'll bring one along

the worlds first harley with a winch????

waiting for the new seat, I had my friend Grigoriy at Bad&G customs make me one from the stock pan. He does all my seats.

And, I have some decals being made for the outside of the box.

Its alot of fun to ride. I'm really happy with it.
    So far.....

The downside is if rtwdoug sleeps naked in his box, he'll have "BMW" stenciled on his ass.:lol3

I 'almost' got a bmw tattoo on my ass during the magadan trip, just so I could moon the camera in front of the magadan sign.

The main reason I didnt do it, was I didnt want to ride for thousands of miles with a tat slowly healing there.

    :huh

marine battery in the sidecar, with a switch to isolate it from the bike when the need arises
