sorry, tanks are back at the painter. I didnt spend all that time & money to ride a burnt bike.

I have enough bikes that are 'cosmetically challenged'

I used to ride an old knucklehead that loved to fart through the carb and start itself on fire. (do this at a crowded gas station sometime, and you'll see a new defination to the word ADRENALINE!!) :deal :eek1 :lol3

...somehow, I never thought of it as being an ADVenture!! (maybe I need to change my viewpoint???) :D :norton

I'm thinking this calls for a special edition T-shirt. One with flames on it. And maybe a picture of Doug throwing gravel on his bike. :lol3 The slogan could be 'burning up the Cannonball' or 'This baby's on fire' or something like that.

    Shit Doug :lol3

Haven't checked in in ages and this is what I see....

I set my BMW on fire in Uzbekistan. Same thing, plenty of drama but it wasn't that bad in the end. It's way better than being bored all the time right?

You could call her "Dusty", one of your old flames!

(Edit: She still looks better than my bike.)

I've always wondered if there was a graveyard of old HD parts from bikes that never made it back from Sturgis :)

Lonnie, the organizer of the Cannonball lives in Sturgis, SD. He needed to get the CBall sweep truck & trailer from his place to daytona.
He was willing to pay travel expenses, so I figured What The Fuck!

I flew up on a monday, hung out for a few days, then headed to Daytona.
I hadnt been to Sturgis since 01.
I havent been missing much. Lotsa chromosexuals riding around on their big wheel douchebaggers.
I did get to hang out with some chopper guys I know, so that part was cool.

Luckily, Lonnie let me borrow his bike. And what a bike it was!

As someone pointed out to me, I take Indians & Harleys around the world, & a BMW to Sturgis.

I just refuse to fit in!

    here I am in action!

I have some friends (no, really, I do have some friends....)

anyhow, these group of friends travel the country doing wall of death shows.

The new Indian unveiled their new Scout at Sturgis, and they put that fucker on the wall!

67 inch motor, 100 hp. they had to detune it to about 25hp because it was shaking the wall too much

I sat on one, it was ok, but when I sat on their modified wall bike, it was much better.
I'd put some knobbies on it, & take it somewhere far away.

Then it was time to drive to florida
I dunno ifn y'all realize this, but its a long fuckin way from Sturgis to Daytona!

Of course I couldnt stand driving an empty truck across the US, so I did my best to fill it along the way

Now Im home, & my repainted tanks are here, so guess what Im working on....

An RZ 350! Someday, I'll have to get one of those, but I think I'll wait until they get really expensive first.
