    Hey gang,

The family and I are now in the Raleigh, NC area. I would love a good layout of motorcycle dirt bike trails where we can go out and do some trail riding. As it stands now, we do track days at NCMP in Henderson but would love a guideline to some of the possible US Forest Roads within the area. Thanks for any reply.

Can always try a NC Gazetteer and cross ref. with GEarth. I'm from up north of there and off hand there isn't much in the way of offroad (alot) of it other than farms andthe like. You could try Uwharrie in Troy, Carolina Adv. World in SC or head west. Do a google for US forest service maps? Every little bit helps.

    Safe travels.

For actual trails - Besides Uwharrie, Brown Mtn and Wayehutta come to mind in NC. Check USFS site for details.
For dirt roads- lots of them in USFS areas- again go to their website for details.

There are not that many DS rides available in Raleigh area. For most part, you will have to venture an hour or so away. There are couple of facebook groups of DS riders that ride on regular bases. Guys from Garcia MBW in Raleigh are actually organizing a DS group ride in Pittsboro NC this Sunday (7/12/15) - in case you are not aware and would like to join...

I hear you loud and clear. I was avoiding it to the last bit... till I found out that some stuff just cannot be had without this simplification (ie decent DS riding groups in our area). Certainly everybody's choice...

I think I will set up an account just for stuff like that. If you have gone on any rides with that group, please shoot me a PM with contact info.

one of my favorite places to go is Outback in Laurinburg. unlike most of the area, the soil is sandy rather than clay so it drains well. it is Veteran owned with decent trails including some single-track plus MX track.
