Yeah, our club split off all the 60+ riders into their own classes because they make the rest of us look bad.

that's a great aspect of trials, seeing these older guys ride so well. the top guy in my class was about 70 and he made everything look so effortless and smooth.

With one or two exceptions the smoooooooothest guys are all 60+.

There are younger guys hitting bigger stuff, but most of them are super twitchy and herky-jerky.

A couple of weekends ago I was watching guys riding a section with a waist-high rock ledge. A young guy came along, flung his bike right up the middle and just barely made it. Then an old guy came along, found a grassy strip about two inches wide beside the ledge, right along the boundary ribbon, and puttered on up without hardly even opening the throttle.

I'll never ride like the first guy, but I can try to be like the second.

There's an 82 year old in my dirt bike club. Takes him 2 hrs to unload his bike from the trailer and walks about 1 step per 5 seconds.

Soon as he throws his leg over his ktm he is GONE. It's absolutely inspiring. He is ridiculously fast. Im a fat 31 yr old and I feel ashamed hahaha.

after years of lusting for a ride on an electric bike we finally get to ride one in canada... one of the EM trials bikes. and even better was chatting and filming with the rider who entered the alta redshift in red bull rocks and logs - this is the closest thing to a viable electric dirt bike yet.

If I could get one at a reasonable price I'd be interested. I'm curious if they can be submerged in a river and keep going unlike a gas bike.

The SILENT factor is the biggest selling point to me.

For the past few years I"ve had an OSET in the garage for my son to ride. I live in a suburban area and could never have a normal/loud dirtbike in my yard or neighborhood. But with the silent electric bike its not an issue.
This past year I upgraded to the OSET 20.0. While I'm still waaaayyyy too heavy for it, its still big enough for me to jump on it and play/practice in the yard a little.

I normally have to haul my dirtbike 1.5-3 hours away to ride. But a quiet bike could open up some riding opportunities right nearby.

Just found this thread, what a great resource! I've been watching all your channels on youtube for years. Then a couple weeks ago I got drunk and sent you a donation. BONUS episodes sent to my email... nice! Keep up the good work.
