Hey everybody with big boy bikes!!!!
Just sign up and race!!!!!

You will have tons of fun and at the very least have some great stories to tell.
I will be there again for sure, just gotta move up one more position at the finish..........:evil

By the way Cyclops, the light works fantastic. I will stop by to look over your Carbon Fiber parts this year.

I"ve been wondering what happened to you.. We had a great summer of some hard core big bike riding, beatin up on the 450's is always fun.
Glad you like the light. Please stop by and trade contact info, I'm sure you know some secret spots on the east side that I would love to check out.
maybe this year you'll pull off that holeshot:clap I know I wont.

Can anyone confirm it will be the same this year? I would love to join in the fun. Noob question: can one get by with 50/50 tires (TKC80), or is it worth it to bring some offroad tires (D606)?

You will be fine on the TKC 80s. I ran them on my 990 ADV on the dual sport ride there a few years ago. Just keep them aired up a little bit as the sidewalls are not that stout on low pressure.

I would love to see you on the line Tony.. I'm a little concerned that we wont have the rider #s to make it worth it.

Thanks for the encouragement bu it is more important that I ride Stumpie sweep again as I have for the last 5 years. Having well trained EMS personnel out there to deal with the downed riders is as important as racing. :kurt

Besides I need to save the ADV bike for the UBDR/CBDR trip planned for this summer. :clap

HOT OFF THE PRESSES!

Course revision for adventure bike racers!
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
Straight from the Race Chairman himself.

“It is looking like we will have a bypass for the race but we are not using it for the poker run. It is not 100% guaranteed at this point as it will be somewhat dependant on the level of the creek, but I would say it is a safe bet. While not as tricky as the existing trail the new section is still not going to be a complete cake walk....but they call themselves "Adventure Riders", right?”

We don’t want a repeat of last year with a bike in the water. Let your folks know it should be a blast!

Are you going to remove your windscreen this year? Your video from last year makes me flinch every time I see it!

Actually the revision is for all racers...no special bypass for the big bikes (that would be no fun, right? :D).

MX813 & I were over there this past weekend and the new section is a go so you will not have to deal with the narrow & rocky section between the tracks & the creek this year.

That damn thing never went back on. I even stopped selling our CF version.
I have to say I was a little taken back when I received that email.
I would never want any concessions for the ADV Bikes, If you cant ride the given course, you shouldn't be racing:eek1
Losing that bottle neck is a good plan for all.

Anybody gonna be riding east of the mountains this weekend?
Might head out to the river on Saturday for a 60 mile ish loop. Its a nice rough and rocky bit, perfect for race prep.
The weather is supposed to be pretty good, last chance to ride before the big to do........

Yes.

I'm sure as hell not gonna drive to the coast just to ride on the wrong side of the mountains. :D

Team singlewide won on the SE950.

He almost narrowly lost to a coarse-threaded cap.

Jackass :D
