My moto is too loud!!! These pipes were on the moto when I bought it. Can anyone tell me about the pipes, model, material, etc? More importantly, how can I tell if the silencers are in the mufflers, assuming it had any to begin with? My 2007 ADV had Lexx pipes, which I liked a lot. Not very loud, very little deceleration popping and most important and the reason I installed them, they ran much cooler than the stock pipes. These pipes make good power, plus I have great fuel economy, but they are too loud and have an excessive amount of deceleration popping. I assume the popping is due to insufficient back pressure. The PO said the moto was remapped for the pipes.

The pipes, as seen in the photo, does have spark arrestors installed.

pull the spark arrestor, the little allen head, this will pull out the screen. if it is just the screen you can purchase the quiet core which will help lessen the noise level. Mufflers are from FMF so you need the FMF quite core

Thanks! :clap What does a Quite Core look like. I had looked at the FMF website, but could not find one. How does it fit inside the pipe? Thanks again! :clap

like the other guy said: the allen head bolt you see inside the tip comes out and the screen type arrestor can be replaced with a Quiet Core.
contact FMF directly to make sure you get the correct part number as they have a couple different versions.

you could also check the packing in the silencer. after awhile the fiber glass burns out and it can make it get annoyingly loud. if you repack them with fresh pack it should quite it down a little as well.

If I am understanding y'all correctly, if it has a spark arrestor, which it does, it can't have a Quiet Core. Correct?

I bough the moto in late January with 6,540 miles and the pipes were already on it. It has 15,600 on it now, but sounds pretty much the same.

    Thanks! :clap

I went to RPM KTM in Dallas and they have spent a ton of time identifying my silencers. They are stainless steel from KTM's Power parts catalog. David Cannella from RPM is in contact with FMF trying to determine which Quiet Core fits it.

If I read the description correctly, these silencers do not have packing "
This stainless steel silencers feature a great price/performance ratio. Due the use of INOX for the outer sleeve and all innerparts we could achieve a outstanding durability. With removable noise reduction inserts.

Do any of y'all have these pipes?
