I think my KTM's stablemate is pretty cool. She's a little on the fatty side, not the greatest looker, but she's a V-twin and lotsa fun.

The 84Ducati S2 sucks because its kick start only, looks like a volvo & its frame is flexi,
The 96Ducati SL900 sucks because its about as big as a 250 and I don't really fit,
The 97KTM LC4 sucks because I sold all the rego gear on ebay and I have to trailer it everywhere,
The ST4s sucks because they stopped making them and it needs an 1198 motor.
Attached is a pic of the Ducati996 ST.

Now that doesn't suck at all, nice work mate. :thumb

Did you go with the AWD setup for climbing sand dunes or is there some nasty trails inland from Gero?

PS, have you done any riding around Carnarvon?

G'day LC8TY, only new to Geraldton so I don't know many inland tracks but the 300 Christini should be great in the dunes. The photo is current, the Christini kit arrived last week, so between hours in the shed, night shift and trying to sleep I hope to get it finished and go for a ride on Wednesday.

I'm a little color blind too; it is nice to have a couple of green scoots around.

You still have some unused tread on those tires-

I volunteer to rectify that situation :y0!

I'm no suspension expert but I have ridden a poorly suspended KLR. I did work real hard to improve that KLR suspension but these bikes are all so much better. I was lucky to find bikes that had great suspension upgrades.

The 640 came with the SPS suspension and has worked great. Its had the most use off road; Death Valley and the Pony Express Trail across NV.

The 990 came with Precision Concepts suspension and its worked great the last couple thousand miles of mostly road.

Both PO's of the 640 and 990 had set the suspension up close enough to my weight. If I had to have work done on these I'd go to SPS, it is so close and James does excellent work.

The 400 came with Trail Tricks but set up for a much lighter rider. I stopped by Javier's shop on my way home from buying the bike and had it tuned for my weight. I was the only one at the shop that morning and Javier's tech did a excellent job. Unfortunately I have not had a chance to ride the 400 on trails yet. Thats the part that sucks.
