They've been around in large numbers since '46 as a primary means of transportation in Europe. (the were around before then, just not mass produced to the extent they were starting in '46)

The Cushman was part of the US military motor pool in WWII, and they were airdropped to soldiers on the ground.

Your need to attack me when asking a simple question indicates you are threatened by it.

    My feelings are hurt.

Why does this belong in Jo Momma John? I asked a simnple question seeking knowledge from the vast Scooter intelect here. I get insulted by the punk in Ohio. I thought that was the purpose of the scooter forum, to keep scooter trash out of Jo Momma. :dunno

Current popularity is a fad Photog...even you must see that. Many fads lie dormant below the mainstream, kept current by die hard people that appreciate the eccenticity of the activity. Then when the mainstream picks it up they are validated by the increased popularity that occurs. Then the mainstream moves on and the eccentrics are back where they were.

Sort of like locusts...they are there, but every 17 years they really come out in force and then go away again.

I think this thread belongs in JoMomma, because it is not specific to this forum and has become a JoMommaish hash slinging.

The purpose of this forum is not "to keep scooter trash out of JoMomma", but to have a place where scooter-specific discussions can take place. You veiled your thread by titling it as one with possible valid content for this forum, but then turned the topic more to bashing scooters as a fad. Your opinion is valid, but more appropriate in JoMomma.

Now that this thread has gone completely out of context for the forum, is gets closed.
