If charstream gets polish AND fancy stickers, then the bling/flash bar has been raised.I'll have no choice but to keep up.

Consider it raised, as this turned out pretty dang sparky, if I do say so myself.

Just in case anybody is wondering, this is not just an ego thing; I was totally happy with the DR650/ PVC route, but we have started doing some appearances for at-risk youth, battered women shelters, etc, telling the story of Charlie Bravo and the crate. A crate can be an addiction, an abusive spouse, a cubicle at work, etc, any situation that traps a person. Charlie is there to show them that there is always hope and a future, from the crate to the queen, if you will. I felt like it was a bit of a downer to show up on a glorified dirt bike sporting a plumbers nightmare on the back. This is why I have spent a pretty ridiculous amount of money to get this as right as I can, between the bike and the Charkstream, but don't regret a dang dime.

Our first mission is Monday morning, when we are supposed to escort a bullied kid to school; details not yet confirmed, but the story is that he has a severe facial deformity that has attracted some unwanted attention from the "cool" kids. I hope it happens, as it will surely be a freaking party...

    Dogjaw,
I don't see it as an ego thing,Charkstream looks very sharp.Your dog sounds happy with it.The backstory is interesting also, not many guys are willing to give the time to do that sort of thing. In this forum, there are dozens of different approaches to the same basic issue, the variety keeps me coming back to see what the next guy will engineer. There's a few on here that really get it "right" for the situation they're used in.

I hear you with the cost issue,I just had a local fab shop quote me on doing the wok-box in 3/16 aluminum.....ouch!..and not even any accessories fitted, just the raw shell.. So,I've got a different approach figured, will post up pics once I've got something worth posting built.Cutting to commence tonight! I'm taking the evolution instead of revolution approach on this one.

I wonder, does anyone here have any experience with thermoelectric cooling units? Any guidance or advice would be very welcome before I put down my cash on one of these off of Ebay. I'm thinking to install one,or two,down-facing in the rear deck area of the wok-box......~if they do anything~
If these units are no good, then maybe a small 12v rad fan? This stuff is only for super hot days in slow traffic,or super hot days on the freeway where Wok doesn't want to sit up.

mine was 1200, just aluminum; had to/wanted to finish it out myself... fab work doesn't come cheap, although now we have the templates so the next would go a lot quicker shouldI ever make another, or make some changes.

The fab shop that bid is known for top notch work. They handle a lot of very large, high value projects.I had hoped for more like 750-850,but I guess you get what you pay for? It was suggested that a box like the wok-box could be fabbed overseas and brought back as a checked luggage for much cheaper....I didn't check into that yet.
