I thought I knew what was going on; now I am reallly confused.

I have a zumo 660 with a data card.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
I plug it into the computer and can see the following:
The zumo flash has folders: Audible, Garmin, JPEG
The Garmin folder has a GPX folder with current, temp, and an Archive folder (empty now).
The data card has a garmin folder with GPX, JPG, MP3, POI, and userdata folders.
MP3 has some songs; userdata has userdata.adm; all others are empty.
I unplug the zumo and turn it on.
I find the 9 favorites that I expect to see.
Then I go to Tools, My Data, Delete Favorites and I see those same 9 Favorites.
I go Back and click on Import Data; I am shown only Favorites which I select.
I see 24 favorites from which to choose – most of which are from a trip I just took and which I deleted earlier today.
So where are these coming from?? They are not on my data card – at least not where I can see them. And if they are not on the data card, then it would seem they have to be in the Garmin flash.
But why would Garmin look there to import data? Maybe I do not know what “import” means.
And where would it be?
And how can I get rid of it?

When I export data from Basecamp to the zumo, where does it go?
If I drag it, where is better – the zumo flash or the data card?
What gets created and where when I do each of the above (export and drag)?

Thanks,

Delete the temp.gpx file in the Garmin/GPX folder. It is a temporary transfer file that is used by Mapsource and Basecamp to send data to the Zumo.

{headslap here} duh!
Thanks, Rowdy!

You may find the link above helpful, scroll down abt 1/3 and you will see a table of all files and their "use" in the Z660.

Great link; thanks!
