Trying to decide between the Doran or the Orange tire pressure monitor. They both look good but the Doran is twice the price of the Orange. I really want long term dependability. Chime in with advice.

I have the Doran. Really like it. Shows tire pressure in the garage without having to ride the bike. Made in USA. Replacement sensors are only $25. Customer service is very good, you will actually talk with a person in Ohio. They make them for fleets, trucks, RV's etc. Waterproof. Comes with 90 degree valve stems so you can mount inside the wheel if you want. Quality kit. No problems with it.

Get the Orange. Do a search. Lots of good comments.

I did 10k plus miles to Alaska with the Orange installed on a GSA. Didn't have to touch the tires once (except for a scheduled new rear in Anchorage).

As does the Orange, as you can see in my photo. Gives temps too.

I cannot speak to Orange, but do have the Doran system. It works great. The times I have had a question, they respond within a day. I do like the Orange display that shows both tire pressures at the same time, but it is also bigger than the Doran display. Keep that in mind when you decide. You have to find somewhere to mount the displays. The Doran is less than 2" square and has a remote LED. You could literally mount it somewhere out of the way and keep the LED up on your dash. It will flash red if the tire pressure drops too rapidly or below a certain level. I do not mind the smaller display as I am only going to check the pressure before I ride and will keep an eye out for the red LED while riding. I buy American where I can, even if it is more expensive.

One final point on the Doran. I saw another brand on a guys bike (do not know if it was the orange or not) and the warning light did not get your attention at all on a bright sunny day. You would have to make a point to stare at the gauge to tell if anything was going on. The Doran's flashing red light is *very* bright even in the bright sun. No way you can miss it--which is very important if you suddenly get a rapid leak. Ymmv.

Very true. The remote LED is VERY bright (had to pull the it to do a more permanent install, this is to show how bright it is).

I had the Doran on my 2009 GSA and the Orange on my 2011 GSA. If they were the same price I would buy the Orange.
