So my 2004 dr650 grenaded its tranny yesterday. Looks like its fifth gear. My bike is completely torn down in a shop in Rivas.

I need 24351-14A10 and 24251-14A10 and they don't have them in Nicaragua.

I'm looking to get ahold of the parts and get them shipped here ASAP, like next day kind of ASAP.

I couldn't find anything on eBay, although admittedly i don't even use eBay so maybe I was just bad at it.

    Thanks

ok, so you can forget about "next day" since it's unlikely any suppliers here in the US have them in stock, so you're looking at a few days just on waiting for the parts. next day shipping via fedex, ups etc will cost you 3x the price of the parts. then there is the wait time in customs there. at least a day and you'll have to go to managua.

all that said, contact frank at triumph in managua (8882-5300) tell him aaron gave you his number. he has several dr's and may have the parts used.

if that fails, you can send the parts to me in miami and i can relay them down or bring them with me on the 19th. in the meantime, you can hang out and enjoy nicaragua.

p.s. never heard of 5th gear going on a DR650. 3rd gear yes but not 5th. you sure the shop knows the difference? they don't have much experience there working on larger bikes....

Yes definitely 5th gear. The bike is at franks shop. We have to wait on the seals and gaskets kit.

Currently being told that the engine seals kit will arrive on January 26 so I am soaking up the sun in San Juan del sur while I wait. They already have the necessary tranny pieces, I believe they were scavenged from another DR.

My bike permit expires on feb 2 and I have to be back at work feb 6 in Toluca so hopefully it will work or for me.

I and one other may be riding right past your house about the time you're just getting back if you keep to your projected schedule. Final route isn't finalized yet, but it'll probably be the west side of D.F.
