Thanks mate, she's in good nick, just a crack in the beak & vertical scratches on the right hand decals where it fell over once.

Been a while since I've ridden a thumper, brings back fond memories of teenage years long ago. :gerg

I drove the Peer Gynt Vegen two weeks ago! Good Road, but the view you get from this road is nearly just forest..., Old Stryn mountain Road, and the Aursjøvegen! Search for Mårten Leikarnes on youtube, I have some gravel vids on the tube, more to come during this week!

Guys, I am selling my BIG.
DR800 SL model, meaning DR750 body, DR800 engine.

    Any takers?

Asian buyer preferred, unless buyer doesn't mind the shipping fees to Europe.

so... i kind of hit a car. I was doing 90-100km/h when suddenly, the care coming towards me decided to turn back... I hit the brakes as hard as I could and pulled to the right but I ran out of asphalt and I chose to hit the car instead of going in the ditch :eek1. I am perfectly fine wish I could say the same for the bike.
Strong bike... the car (Skoda Fabia) was really messed up

    Glad you're OK.

Dunno what that ditch looked like but the DR is a dirt bike and the ditch would likely have been softer than the Skoda. (unless it was 8 ft deep and full of water)

it was pretty steep and there are trees at the bottom... I'm not sure I made the right choice but I'm new to this... I have only 3000 km experience :)

It's hard to do that with the 613euro the insurance company gave me :(
I need a new front end... the only thing that its ok is the wheel rim and the headlight the rest of it is bent or broken. I also need the oil radiator and spark plug cable :huh

So I was the black sheep of the family

    hello once again.
long time since i last touched my BIG. unfortunatley, it hasen´t cured itself from its no spark disease.
maybe someone here can point towards a thing or to what else to check.

    things i´ve done:
swapped the CDI into another bike, that bike ran fine.
swapped a new battery in, no change.
stator seems to be fine, all Ohms readings are perfect and from looking at it, it looks good.
all saftey switches either work or are being short wired to be sure.

    what i know now:
one ignition coil seems to be broken. i get no reading on the secondary circuit. still, that wouldn´t affect the other coil?
a wire from the kill switch to the cdi shows contuinity towards mass. everything unplugged.

what should my next steps be? get a new (used) wiring harness and coil?

    cheers
