The Dream House 500 (km) is a nice ride with a 300 mile Sport Tour all pavement route and a separate Adventure Tour route of approximately 250 miles with about 25% forest service dirt roads. This is a self-guided tour. Route sheets with detailed route instructions will be issued. We'll divide up into small riding groups. We'll have a stand-by tow vehicle on call in case of mechanical problems. Three meals are included: continental breakfast at registration, catered lunch with live music entertainment at a north GA lakeshore, and a grilled evening meal (steak or chicken, your choice) at the finish. It starts and finishes at the Honda Rider Education Center in Alpharetta, GA. The grand prize of a $250 Parts Unlimited gift certificate will be awarded in a drawing to a lucky rider. The event benefits the Dream House for Medically Fragile Children in Lilburn, GA. http://www.dreamhouseforkids.org/

Beginning on Sept. 25, Ebay auctions will begin for the auction of the use of two new BMW motorcycles with a full tank of gas to ride the event complete with an event entry ($100 value). The R1200RT and the R1200GS are donated from the demonstrator fleet of BMW Ducati Husqvarna of Atlanta. The auction will conclude on Oct. 2. I will post a notice here when the auction begins.

Not sure if the adventure route involves FS roads, but if so, due to the government shutdown, is the adventure ride still on, or just the sport ride?

My scout rode FS 28-1, FS 80, and FS 15 this afternoon. No gates, barricades or signs indicating they don't want us. We're riding.
